This is only the 2nd covered bridge in Ontario. The pedestrian bridge was a project undertaken by the Timber Framers Guild of North America. The bridge was constructed during a week long convention at U. of G. Bridge completed June 13, 1992, wheelchair ramp completed July 22, 1992. The City of Guelph donated materials and support services, while the Timber Framers brought their skills, tools and time.
